About CheckInForWork
CheckInForWork answers one narrow morning question: has the small mobile crew started, and who needs a call?
Why we stay narrow
Small field teams often reach for full workforce or dispatch software eventually. Before that point, some teams need a lighter bridge between informal texts and a large system. CheckInForWork provides an empty morning board, a private browser link for each worker, timestamped check-in/break/check-out events, same-day callout status, and a CSV export.
That is the whole promise—not a claim that every small business has the same workflow, and not a disguised customer testimonial. The industry playbooks spell out where each template may fit and when specialist software is the better answer.
What we do not claim
- It is not payroll, certified payroll, overtime calculation, or legal compliance software.
- It does not continuously track GPS or run in the background.
- It is not dispatch, route optimization, invoicing, inventory, or job costing.
- It is not an emergency-response or lone-worker rescue service.
- It has no published customer count, customer logos, ratings, or performance statistics.
How we design the product
- Start empty. Boards never invent workers or fake check-ins as social proof.
- One action should be obvious. A crew link opens directly to the assigned person and current status.
- Collect less. No worker email is required for the crew board, and the check-in page does not request GPS.
- Name the boundary. We say when another product or professional process is needed.
- Keep the operator in control. Admins can export and permanently delete a board.
Personal focus mode
CheckInForWork also includes a local-first personal focus timer at Personal Focus, clearly separated from the shared crew product. Its optional reminder setup is for personal accountability—not crew attendance or safety monitoring.
