Cleaning Crew Check-In Playbook
A low-friction arrival board for residential, commercial, turnover, and floor-care teams.
Start with this board
| Who | Team leads, cleaners, floor technicians, turnover crews, and inspectors |
|---|---|
| Assignment field | Site or team — for example, Team Blue · Site C-14 |
| Suggested roles | Team lead, Cleaner, Floor tech, Turnover crew, Inspector |
| Check-in moments | Shift start → Site arrival → Site completion |
Three questions for the morning huddle
- Who has access and the approved site instructions?
- Which site has a hard completion time?
- Are supplies and specialty equipment assigned?
Privacy and safety boundary
Use site codes instead of resident names. Never place alarm codes, keysafe combinations, or access instructions in the board.
When this lightweight board is no longer enough
Move to cleaning-business software when you need recurring schedules, inspections, client messaging, bids, or supply tracking.
Recordkeeping note
The U.S. Department of Labor allows employers to choose a timekeeping method, provided required records are complete and accurate. Check-in timestamps can help reconstruct events, but they do not calculate compensable time, overtime, travel time, or every record an employer may need. Review DOL Fact Sheet #21 and applicable state and local rules.
